The Municipality of Varna is launching a campaign to recruit volunteers aged 16 to 29 who wish to join the “Youth Volunteer Service” initiative in the summer of 2026. Young people will have the opportunity to volunteer at local non-governmental organizations and institutions across various fields – ecology, art, culture, preservation of historical heritage, sports and tourism, media services, social activities, and more.
Registered volunteers will be engaged between July and September 2026 at an organization or institution aligned with their previously stated interests. Volunteering activities will take place for 4 to 6 hours a day, five days a week. Participants will receive a daily stipend to cover expenses, as well as a certificate from the host organization confirming the duration and nature of the volunteer work performed.
All non-profit legal entities registered under the Law on Non-Profit Legal Entities are eligible to apply as host organizations. They must submit a standard application form describing the need for volunteers, the specific activities they will perform, and how their stay will be organized within the respective structure.
Youth interested in fields such as culture, historical heritage preservation, media services, and others will have the opportunity to gain professional experience at an institution of their choice for a period of 2 to 4 weeks during July and August. The internship will consist of 4 hours of daily activity; please note that no daily stipend is provided for this specific type of participation.

Applications from organizations wishing to utilize volunteer work must be submitted to the Registry Office of Varna Municipality by June 23, 2026.
On June 30, 2026, at 4:30 PM, a meeting between the prospective volunteers and representatives of the non-governmental organizations and institutions will be held in Hall 17 at the “Youth House” to assign participants to their respective activities.
