I’m excited to share with you some amazing news. Thanks to a generous community of donors, we raised £50,263 in 2024 to support our mission. These funds supported 11 conservation projects and citizen initiatives dedicated to addressing the pressing challenges we face. Your belief in our cause is not only an inspiration to others, but also an incentive for collective impact.

A huge “Thank You!” to our generous lead donors: the PRO VERITAS Association’s “You and Lidl for Our Tomorrow” initiatives, Vivacom Regional Grant, 1% FOR THE PLANET NETWORK, KashON, and Nora, Natalia, Kalina, Ivan… all of our incredibly dedicated members and contributors. This success would not have been possible without your dedication and ambition to help us realize our ideas, projects and initiatives. Thank you for supporting our dreams and making them a reality!

Here is one of the dream ideas – come true: to create an educational module about bees, telling children how important these insects are for our future. Despite the bee being named the most important animal on the planet back in 2019, one in three pollinator species continue to disappear today. Thanks to the incredible work of Ellen Sabatini, supported by a Vivacom Regional Grant and donors like Kalina Tsacheva and Svilena Velcheva, hundreds of children have learned about the life of bees and their crucial role in life on Earth. Only knowledgeable people can decisively stop the negative trends facing our planet.

Here’s how we work: when donors or funders provide their funds for a specific environmental initiative, we at the Public Center for Environment and Sustainable Development put them into concrete actions that lead to lasting change in their wake. Every donation helps expand the number of people we reach through our initiatives, such as “Know your bees, protect your future”. This gives us the confidence to continue in 2025 on the path we have mapped out, where we can walk together.

It’s never too late to be part of more stories like that of Helen and her educational module on bees. Your continued support in 2025 will help us expand and strengthen our community of supporters, making conservation, conservation and the environment the personal interest of more and more people.
