1. Fund “Leaf” is a tool for raising funds and their gratuitous spending in support of environmental causes.
  2. The funds in the Fund “Leaf” are raised from:

2.1. The sale of gratuitously provided waste paper for recycling by the participants in the “Leaf by Leaf” campaign.

2.2. Other donation schemes cooperating with the Fund “Leaf”.

2.3. Individual and collective donations.

2.4. The sale of gratuitously donated waste, other than paper, as a result of other campaigns organized by the Public Environmental Center for Sustainable Development.

2.5. The sale of goods made from waste materials, provided free of charge or through payment by participants in the ongoing campaigns organized by the Public Environmental Center for Sustainable Development.

  1. Calculation / distribution of revenues in the Fund:

3.1. The proceeds from the sale of waste paper for recycling are spent as follows:

3.1.1. The gross amount received from each share is allocated to cover the direct costs incurred per share (fees and fuel).

3.1.1.1. Fees are paid to the team that worked during the campaign. The amount of the fees is directly related to the total income per share. §1. With a total income per share of up to BGN 30, the maximum amount of one fee is BGN 2. §2. With a total income per share from BGN 30 to BGN 100, the maximum amount of one fee is BGN 5. §3. With a total income per share from BGN 100 to BGN 150, the maximum amount of the fee is BGN 10. §4. For total earnings per share over BGN 150, the maximum amount of the fee is BGN 15.

3.1.2. The rest of the funds are distributed: 40% to supply the fund and 60% to cover (in the order in which they follow); 1-running costs for vehicles (repairs, purchase of spare parts, insurance, annual technical inspections), 2-advertising materials, 3-information materials, 4-administrative.

3.2. The spending of the funds raised through: Other donation schemes cooperating with the Fund “Leaf” or Individual and collective donations are subject to specific agreements between the donors and the fund. If no other conditions are agreed, the donation is distributed according to the scheme: 60% – for charity; 30% – for administrative expenses, state and bank fees and taxes; 10% – for informing, advertising and organizing new donation campaigns.

3.3. The spending of the funds raised through: The sale of gratuitously donated waste, other than paper, as a result of other campaigns organized by the Public Environmental Center for Sustainable Development, is subject to the spending rules described in item 3.1.

3.4. 5. The spending of the funds raised through the sale of goods made from waste materials, provided free of charge or through payment by participants in the organized current campaigns of the Public Environmental Center for Sustainable Development, is as follows: §1. From the total income are deducted all costs incurred for collection, delivery, manufacture, advertising of goods made of waste material. §2. The rest of the total income is paid into the fund.

  1. Expenditure of the fund:

4.1. The funds accumulated in the Fund “Leaf” are spent free of charge.

4.2. The decision for their spending is taken by the Management Board (MB) of the Public Environmental Center for Sustainable Development, at its meeting after consideration of proposals (projects).

4.3. There are two types of proposals, internal and external.

4.3.1. The internal proposals are submitted by members of the organization and they are directly related to the implementation of the PECSD mission.

4.3.1. External proposals are from participants or donors in the individual campaigns forming the Fund “Leaf” or citizens proposing the implementation of an initiative corresponding to the mission of the Public Environmental Center for Sustainable Development. External proposals can be implemented by the organization or citizen offering them. In these cases the fund allocates 2/3 of the requested amount. The remainder must be obtained from the applicant as his own financial contribution.

  1. These regulations are amended and supplemented by a decision of the Board of the Public Environmental Center for Sustainable Development.
