The Public Center for Environment and Sustainable Development (PCESD) has been approved as a member of the Global Partnership on Plastic Pollution and Marine Litter (GPML), part of the United Nations (UN) environmental program.
GPML brings together leading organizations worldwide working to prevent plastic pollution and marine debris. Members have access to a unique global platform for sharing knowledge and experience, as well as for partnering to create and improve solutions to this global problem.
GPML members benefit from a wealth of experience and access to the latest research on tackling the problem globally and locally.
The GPML was established at the UN Conference on Sustainable Development in June 2012. Its main mission is to protect the environment and human health by tackling the problem of plastic pollution and marine debris.
