In connection with the expansion of the Blue Zone in Varna, the campaign for separate collection of paper “Leaf by Leaf” introduces new rules for participants collecting paper for recycling.
Each participant whose office or home is located in the Blue Zone must provide one of the following options for collecting the paper:
– Take the paper out in front of the entrance / parking lot (when choosing this option, please send an up-to-date phone number to info@ecovarna.info to call you before arrival);
– Free office space for short-term parking;
– Payment of BGN 1 fee Blue Zone for the car of the “Leaf by Leaf” campaign.
The new rules will enter into force on 11 August 2020.
The “Leaf by Leaf” campaign has been implemented for 20 years in Varna, thanks to nearly 300 offices of companies, schools, administrations and families. The campaign is self-supporting from the proceeds of recycled paper. The current economic situation calls into question the continuation of the campaign. On the one hand, recycling companies have reduced the purchase prices of paper to 2 to 6 cents / kg depending on its quality. On the other hand, the maintenance of the campaign car has become too expensive due to its physical obsolescence. Despite the problems, we are determined to continue the campaign because of all the participants in “Leaf by Leaf” who care about the environment!
