Hey, all of you who brought old clothes to be recycled to the Community Center for Environment and Sustainability and Zero Waste Zero Waste office last fall can now see what your pants, skirts and tops have become. After a long pandemic closure, the exhibition of student artwork with a charitable cause, “Through Art to Change,” is up. Anyone tempted by alternative art and ecology, or just looking for new ideas, can see it between 17 and 27 June in the Art Lounge of Radio Varna. You will also be able to purchase the items you like, with the money raised being donated to Karin Dom.

The exhibited works of art, made from old clothes, are the work of the talented students from the Professional School of Textile and Fashion Design – Varna, with the help of Recycle Art Academy-Recycling Art.

The project “Through Art to Change” won the first edition of “Project ECO” in the section “Waste”. The Zero Waste Zero Waste initiative aimed to meet new and fresh ideas in the field of environmental protection with the best practices of some of the leading companies in the country.

Clothes for recycling were donated during Green Fridays in a campaign “Clean out the closet, replenish the library” implemented by the Public Center for Environment and Sustainable Development.
