Let’s talk – is there an environmental crisis and do young people care about it?

We promise you an interesting discussion with a nettwerking at the end. The event will take place on 17 July (Thursday) at 6 pm in the tent of the Public Centre for Environment and Sustainable Development, on the promenade of the “Shell” stage in the Sea Garden. It is part of the Varna-Sea Eco-Festival. Young people, ecologists, psychologists, pedagogical specialists and active citizens of Varna will participate. The meeting is open to all those interested in the topic.

We will talk not only about environmental problems, but also about a new phenomenon called eco-anxiety. It is the subject of research by the association “FOR YOU”, which works on the YOU-CARE project.

The aim of the initiative is to allow young people in Europe to explore and evaluate the range of emotions associated with the environmental crisis. The idea is to move from environmental concern to active participation.

YOU-CARE trains youth workers and educators. Research is done with the active participation of youth. An open youth assembly is being organised in Brussels in mid-October.

The meeting on 17 July is part of the Erasmus+-funded project “Young people creating action research on eco-anxiety”.
