On September 26, as part of the Green Youth Academy project, we held our second workshop dedicated to making beeswax candles. The event attracted young people and enthusiasts who wanted to learn how to create beautiful and natural products using completely natural materials.

Why beeswax?

Beeswax is a completely natural product made by young bees, distinguished by its ecological and health benefits. It burns cleaner than paraffin, without releasing harmful substances, and creates a pleasant and cozy atmosphere. In addition, its aroma is delicate and reminiscent of our connection with nature.

What happened in the workshop

Participants had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the candle-making process and learn more about:

the different shapes and techniques for making candles;

the advantages of beeswax over synthetic alternatives;

how to add individuality and beauty to candles through decorations and natural scents;

the role of candles in creating a more sustainable lifestyle.

Each participant was able to make their own candle, which they took home as a symbol of their personal contribution to nature conservation and more conscious consumption.

Atmosphere and inspiration

As with the first workshop, the atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm, curiosity, and creativity. Participants not only gained new knowledge and skills, but also had the opportunity to inspire each other, exchange ideas, and discuss how small daily choices can contribute to a greener future.

Through initiatives such as this, the Green Youth Academy continues to encourage young people to be active, responsible, and conscious. Making beeswax candles is another example of how we can replace mass-produced industrial products with eco-friendly and beautiful alternatives that bring joy while protecting the environment.
