It was getting dark. The leaves gently danced to the rhythm of the evening breeze. In the shadows, where no one expected to see, a Jeep gave back. The driver opened the back door and three sacks of litter spilled out. But not everything remained hidden – behind the camera lens agent 00was7e, the scene became evidence. With his mission accomplished, agent 00was7e retreated to the HQ on the street. “Sava Radulov 14 and reported, “Mission accomplished.” M said, “Thank you, Agent! I now send you on your next mission. You will go to Brussels for waste reduction week”.

This could have been the start of an action movie script. In fact, the story takes place in an Erasmus+ project 00was7e.. Behind the masks of “agents” are young people. Their goal? to cause change and build a world where every waste ends up in the right place.

Under the guise of the project, young people from Italy, Germany and Bulgaria embarked on the week of European Waste Reduction Week. Their mission took them to the heart of Brussels, where sustainable innovation and social change meet.

The agents’ first target in Brussels was Kringwinkel. A place for sustainability in Flanders. There, they discovered the secrets of transformation: how to turn unnecessary things into resources and give new life to every item. Every corner of the centre whispered one message: “Think circular, act social.”

The next stop was the REZOlutions festival where agents discovered how sustainability and innovation can go hand in hand. From tastings of dishes saved from being thrown away to meetings with smart zero waste technologies. Each idea was a reminder that change starts with small steps.

One of the most immersive experiences for the young agents was Living Tomorrow, an innovation hub where green technology and homes from the future sparked their imaginations. There, they peered into a world where every drop of resource is used to its maximum and saw how visions of sustainability can become reality. (You can see some of the ideas here.)

The agents’ mission included a visit to the European Parliament and a meeting with Italian MEP Benedetta Scuderi. They discussed plans for a circular economy and learned that any idea can become a tactical plan. With vision and determination, change becomes possible.

When the day’s operations were over, it was time for a cultural exchange – with dishes from Germany, Italy and Bulgaria. These moments of sharing and bonding proved the art of being together and working towards a common future.

When the young people returned home they realized that there was a lot of work ahead of them to make a difference. They became ambassadors of new ideas, armed with inspiration and determination. With one message echoing in their every action, “Change starts with you.”

Agent 00Was7e is not just a project, but a movement. It is a call to action, a chance to save the world with small steps and big dreams. And this call is addressed to all of us. Will you follow it?
