Late last week there was a massive attack on the nuclear lobby on the TV channels. It is difficult to make counter arguments to their populist statements like “If we build a new nuclear reactor in Kozloduy” or “Why not Belene we will save our forests from being cut down because we will have cheap electricity and we will not need to heat ourselves with wood”. Actually most of the logging goes to Turkey and Greece and I don’t see how the NPP will stop it, but that’s another topic.
To understand our counter arguments against building new nuclear power plants, we offer this short film we shot during our visit to the AKW Zwentendorf Nuclear Power Plant in Austria.
