Together we will look for an answer to the question what are the current opportunities and what legal changes are needed to make citizens energy active and independent from energy monopolies.

What is a “Producing Consumer” in the Bulgarian energy sector and when will we introduce it?
How to get rid of the model “If someone comes and gives me something – why bother” (about possible preferences)?
Notification and authorisation regime? How is it possible to ease bureaucratic process by increasing administration?
Who can install PV capacity?
Let’s introduce net metering! What should be the netting period?
What do we do with guarantees of origin?
What will be the price at which surpluses will be paid? For the balances?

The discussion is part of an advocacy campaign for energy independence by the Public Centre for Environment and Sustainable Development and Green Laws. The forum is held under the project “Being Energy Independent”, funded by the Active Citizens Bulgaria Fund under the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021.
