The filming of “The Successful Small” has started – a short video film in which the team of the Public Center for Environment and Sustainable Development will tell about some of the first producers – users of home energy from the sun in Bulgaria. You will find out about their motivations for putting PV on their roof, what difficulties they faced and how they overcame them. And most importantly – why they haven’t given up and would do it again. The video concludes with recommendations to government authorities on how to ease procedures so that more citizens become energy independent and reduce energy poverty in the country. The short film is expected to be completed in mid-June. Its official premiere will be on 1 July during the Citizens Against Climate Change conference in Varna.
“Successful Small” is the first video in a series in which producers-consumers of domestic renewable energy tell their stories as energy independent citizens. The series will conclude with a consumer video on how to install photovoltaics on the roof of your home, which we hope will encourage more Bulgarians to choose the more environmentally friendly and cost-effective alternative to power their homes.
The videos will be produced under the project “Being Energy Independent”, funded by the Active Citizens Bulgaria Fund under the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021.
