The main goal of the planning guide is to provide a way for all stakeholders and participants in the development of green infrastructure to implement their own plans.

Green infrastructure is the physical environment within and between large cities; small towns and villages. It is a network of multifunctional open spaces, including green areas resembling parks, street trees, as well as all the green space between the settlement units. It covers all environmental resources. The IA approach should contribute to the sustainable management of natural resources.
